Founded in 1873, St. Ann’s Community is Rochester’s leading senior housing and health services provider, offering a full continuum of quality care for older adults. With 1,200 employees, St. Ann’s is one of greater Rochester’s largest private employers.

Challenge

St. Ann’s Community sought to improve their existing website using a more streamlined, contemporary, mobile-friendly design. They desired to build awareness and increase interest in their senior housing options and health services through a website redesign effort that provided a more contemporary, modern look and delivered an improved user experience. St Ann’s hoped that this effort would result in increased occupancy at the community, increased attendance at facility tours and events, and would generate additional awareness for their locations and services in the Rochester area.

Solution

Implementing a mobile-first strategy was a key factor of the design and development effort. Designed with the end user in mind, the website was built to be fully responsive across all browsers and devices and featured a number of capabilities to improve visitor engagement. Various features were incorporated to help drive St. Ann’s marketing efforts and provide website visitors an engaging and improved user experience. Various SEO tactics were also implemented to drive traffic to the website upon website launch. Partnering with Cazbah, the teams worked together in improving their website SEO. With a focus on improving local SEO for each of St. Ann’s service lines, the team streamlined and consolidated the SEO management of each of their facilities, making them easier for website users to find online.

In line with St. Ann’s goal to increase awareness for their independent living offerings, a video gallery was added to provide website visitors an inside look into the St. Ann’s experience, which included the very popular “Retirement Living: Ask Lucy” video series.
